Re: [Banshee-List] Should we consider releasing for Windows at 1.9.4?

It's actually still getting hits, even though I took it down and
replaced it with an unavailable message. I think users are very eager
to have Banshee working on Windows, whether it is truly ready or not.

I personally think there are a couple of things that will need
addressed, though. Most notably is the volume reset in GStreamerSharp
(which I still haven't gotten around to verifying on Linux, because
I'm a slacker) and a crash when opening the equalizer (again, because
I am a slacker, I haven't even reported this one yet). I think we'll
also want to track down any remaining broken extensions (like the
metadata fixer, as encountered by my brother this evening) and disable
them in the solution configuration.

Once we come up with a suitable naming scheme/renaming operation (ala
641697), we could make weekly-ish releases automatically, which IMO
would reduce the urgency of fixing things before launch, as users will
know to expect fixes sooner rather than later, and will be less
inclined to gripe.
