I tend to agree and as the, getting punished by OS X's strangeness on
a regular basis, guy I would like to have it merged quickly. If recent
history is any guide this is going to take an epic amount of time to
get working on OS X, let alone in a shippable state. However given
that the next release is set of the 21th (which my wife has graciously
agreed to delay the family vacation to allow me to do a build for), if
2.3.3 is going to be GTK#3 based I would love for it to be merged
today. More time for packagers to get this all lined up and tested
before a big holiday is a definitely needed. In my case it is made
worse by the fact that I will be gone effectively from the 22th till
around the 15th of January, with no connectivity nor my Mac handy for
any work.

Getting the OS X build to a state where it starts and doesn't crash in
the most trivial cases has taken a long time but I am finally able to
say that we can deliver such a build (much thanks to John Ralls for
GTK insight and a lot of very timely testing by Marco Dahms).

So consider this a plea to merge the changes now and live with a bit
of instability and breakage. I will pledge to do the work even if I
have to stop sleeping for the next week.
