Just to piggy back, I have build of 2.3.2 working for Fedora 16 on the OBS [https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=home%3Aunamanic%3Abanshee]. It doesn't build for F15 right now (mono-addins is too old).

Hi all,
I would like to point everyone that I've done maintenance on the
Banshee Repositories for openSUSE this afternoon, and a brief
explanation of what happened in case users hang around asking for
help:
* Banshee (https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=Banshee)
+ Removed all repositories from unsupported or end of life
platforms (this includes openSUSE 11.3 and previous);
+ Renamed the repositories to become coherent with the platform, as
some of the previous repositories we not coherent at all;
* Banshee:Unstable
(https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=Banshee:Unstable)
+ Removed all repositories except for:
- openSUSE 12.1
- openSUSE Factory
- openSUSE Tumbleweed
Furthermore, anyone with repositories configured is adviced to upgrade
the repository links. They are all broken now as I've changed the name
of the repositories in a more coherent way. Please update.
Banshee.FM webpage: please update download links as the repository
build targets changed and they might not be working.
This changes will benefict the capacity of Banshee repositories to be
able to deploy for other platforms (I'm currently working for EL6) and
might extend them to Fedora also as the Banshee offered by Banshee is
somehow superior to the one offered by Fedora in options. But this is
something for the future.
Please consider that this changes were taken with the ultimate goal of
providing easier maintenance for the repositories and ensure a better
quality on the product delievered to our users. openSUSE users have
not been subject of the turmoil that Banshee users in other
distributions have been, there's a reason for this... we always seek
to improve, even if we have to do this hard changes once in a while.
