I think Banshee is on schedule for a big 1.8 release tomorrow.  I know that over the past couple weeks a lot of work has gone into fixing quirks in the new iPod support, so with any luck your problem is already fixed.  If you want to test out this theory, you can try building the latest Banshee from source. [1]  If your iPod still doesn't sync correctly, you should file a bug report with the --debug log attached, and it probably won't take very long for someone to help you -- they've really been fixing iPod bugs at blazingly fast speeds.

Hi, I'm using version 1.7.6, and when I try to automatically sync my music to my 80GB classic, it goes through all the motions (only giving me an error or two about not being able to convert wma) and finally says it's syncing with the ipod. After it's finished I disconnect the device and the ipod says that there is no music installed on the device. I've ran it with --debug option and it only tells me that everything worked and went fine.
