Thank Samuel. I really don't want to have to switch media manager at this point. Does anyone
know what the development status of 5th gen support is for Banshee or if Banshee is going to
switch to libgpod when that will be? Is there anything I could do to help?
Thanks.

Exactly, for the new Ipod nano you need gtkpod or any other libgpod
based players. As far as I know is banshee thinking about switching to
libgpod, but I'm sure that won't happen overnight.
So for now you have to use a new libgpod version and a libgpod based
managing tool.
So you need at least libgpod 0.9.71.
And I experienced Problems with Various Artists in one Album with
Rhythmbox (I think it's a rhythmbox bug).
So I would use a new gtkpod together with a new libgpod.
