Sorry for replying to myself, but when I removed the alarm extension and the
mirage extension the issue went away.  Which specific extension is causing
the issue is unknown to me.  Trying to reinstall the mirage extensions and
seeing if the issue reappears.

The mirage extension caused the error to reappear.  Checking to see if the
alarm extension causes any issues...

Everything still works--looks like there is something going on with the
mirage extension.  Removing this fixes the issue.
