I had a similar issue and found some info on the ubuntu forums. To get it to
work, go into gconf-editor and disable automounting in nautilus
(apps>nautilus>preferences>media_automount...)
When you plug in the ipod, you'll have to manually mount it in nautilus or
somewhere else, then podsleuth and banshee will detect it.
