I'm trying to build Banshee on Ubuntu (9.10). To do so i have been
following the steps found at:
http://banshee-project.org/download/development/
However when i try to do the step:
`sudo apt-get build-dep banshee'
apt tells me that it can't find the source package for banshee.
When i try to run ./autogen.sh
it fails when checking for GST:
checking for GST... configure: error: Package requirements
(gstreamer-0.10 >= 0.10.12
gstreamer-base-0.10 >= 0.10.12
gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10 >= 0.10.12
gstreamer-controller-0.10 >= 0.10.12
gstreamer-dataprotocol-0.10 >= 0.10.12
gstreamer-fft-0.10 >= 0.10.12) were not met:
No package 'gstreamer-0.10' found
No package 'gstreamer-base-0.10' found
No package 'gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10' found
No package 'gstreamer-controller-0.10' found
No package 'gstreamer-dataprotocol-0.10' found
No package 'gstreamer-fft-0.10' found
I have searched with aptitude for the named packages but i can't find them.
Does somebody have experience with building Banshee on Ubuntu?
I would like to try and help to improve the N900 support, so any other
tips regarding developing on Ubuntu are appreciated :) (like: how to you
get the debugger to work in monodevelop?)
thx!
Jeroen
