I don't think you got the screenshot from version 0.3.7, since I fixed a resizing issue that caused the covers to be squeezed together like in that screenshot. Today this is no longer true, but there is still a lot of (black) white space at the sides. This is configurable (in code), but not yet exposed to the user. More or less albums is not a setting that should affect allocation. The side's width is currently determined as the total width minus the width needed for the center cover (with margins) and minus the margins at the sides. However, the side width is capped at half of the cover width. It cannot grow any larger than this. So I'll add this ratio (0.5) thingy to the settings tab so people can play with it. I'm not a fan of endless customizability (because less is more) that's why I'm picky as to what I allow people to change and what not. > 2. How about artist view? As I said in my blog post I will add a sorting option after I release version 0.4. Albums can than be sorted by Artist (or perhaps Genre) and this should mimic an artist browser. If you meant you'd like to have a list of artists like the one provided by Banshee, it's possible, but I'm not going to do it. > 3. Anti-aliasing? The jagged edges are nasty to look at. Currently the Clutter Toolkit does not support this AFAIK. I could try to add a transparent border to the textures so texture sampling makes it smooth. > 4.
