I don't think anybody has worked on it for > a few months now.  You
can browse the open bugs:

and see if there's any insight/patches that are useful.  Please to
share knowledge/patches you come up with.

Note that Aaron has been working on a bundling solution (used for the
recent OS X build), that hopefully will be useful for producing a
Windows build at some point (actually cross-compiling it from Linux is
the idea, since that's what most of us use).  But having it buildable
in VS/MD is also important.
