In bugzilla there are two similar bugs, regarding the location of the
playlists on MassStorageDevices:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=587756
MSC playlist_path inconsistantly based on audio_folders location
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=612342
Playlists directory is always inside Music directory (rockbox)
The problem is that the playlist-directory is always inside the music
folder, unless you use a value like 'playlist_path=../Playlists/' in the
.is_audio_player-file. When you set playlist_path to 'Playlists/' one
might expect to find the playlists in Playlists/, but it would actually
be in Music/Playlists/.
Changing this behaviour is not difficult, however this would break
current configurations in .is_audio_player-files, as was discussed on IRC.
For example on a MassStorageDevice which is configured to
'playlist_path=Playlists/', playlists will be in Music/Playlists/, but
when these bugs would be fixed and the user upgrades Banshee, the
playlists would suddenly be moved the Playlists/. Maybe that is going to
cause a lot of confusion?
So, should this be modified, or do you think it is better to mark the
bugs as 'wont fix'?
