As some of you may know, the Banshee mailing-list is also accessible
through a forum-like interface provided by Nabble [1].
Messages posted in this forum have to be approved by a moderator before
they are sent to the mailing-list, as the sender is usually not a member
of the list. This goes on top of the usual moderation tasks (spams,
messages too big, e-mails by non-members, etc.).
In the past months, we've fallen behind and the messages have been
piling up in the moderation queue. After discarding the obvious spam,
there are about 130 messages waiting for approval.
In the coming hours and days, we'll be going through the moderation
queue, and the legitimate messages will be sent to the list. We're sorry
for any inconvenience this spike in e-mail traffic might cause.
The alternative would have been to discard those old messages, but we
feel this would not be fair to their senders.
We also want to apologize to the people whose messages did not reach the
mailing-list in a timely manner. We'll try to avoid a similar situation
in the future.
Thank you for your understanding.

While I personally don't use nabble, given that your time could be spend writing code instead of weeding out spam I would like to volunteer to help to keep this in check in the future.
