[Banshee-List] Banshee-1 and AAC files not playing

I've been round and round in loops trying to get AAC to play in Banshee-1.

The files I want to play can be played in Totem, which suggests that the gstreamer config and plugins are  working.

When I try to play an AAC file in Banshee I get this message:

[Error 16:54:46.794] GStreamer resource error: NotFound

My config is:

Opensuse 11.0 32bit
Gnome
Banshee-1 1.4.1

Can anyone advise on a course of action please?
