Reading through the comments on this bug report, one person said that,
even though "Searching for CD metadata" went on forever, he did see the
name of the CD in the context menu for the "Audio CD" entry in the
sidebar.  I just checked, and 'Import "A Show of Hands"' is also in my
context menu, so some part of the MusicBrainz query is succeeding.
