The bug report you are interested in is 563380
(https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=563380).  Your idea for Banshee
to offer to keep the source files or delete them is an idea I hadn't heard
before.  You may want to add that idea in the comments there, and subscribe
yourself to that bug if you want to watch its progress.

@ the awesome banshee developers: this has been an on-and-off issue with
Banshee for quite some time, and this particular bug report has been open
for more than a year.  It would be great to see this bug get squashed for
good before the 1.6 release.  Can I nominate it for Target Milestone 1.x ->
1.6?
