You didn't say which version of Banshee you are running. But if you
got it from the ubuntu Universe repositories then it will have updated
you to 1.2.1 from a much older version when you upgraded to Intrpid.

The recommend way to get banshee is via the Ubuntu Banshee PPA. The
address is below, basically its a dedicated repository with the latest
Banshee release in it so will supersede what's in the Universe repo.

The Rio Karma is fairly uncommon so its possible the plugin may have
broken in the mean time. Since I don't have one I can't check that.
The various DAP syncing extensions have had a lot of changes in the
time between the version in the Hardy repo and the one in the Intrepid
repo.

Its probably worth making sure you are using the latest version from
the PPA as that currently at 1.4.
