[Banshee-List] Banshee doesn't seem to want to open in the terminal (FC9)

Hello there --

I'm a relatively new Linux user, and learning the ropes, I've heard Banshee
is a great music player, and it even looks as though it will play nice with
my Sansa.

Any ways, my problem is that Banshee isn't really running very stable. (ie.
it will only open -- and stay open for a few minutes before locking up
completely). Initially it wasn't running at all, but someone told me to make
it a directory -- which I did and at least we got it to open! However, as I
said before, it doesn't last long and it locks up.

When I try to run banshee through my terminal I get nothing (keeping in mind
that I am both new and an idiot)

[Kae localhost ~]$ banshee
bash: banshee: command not found
[Kae localhost ~]$ please?
bash: please?: command not found
[Kae localhost ~]$

Any idea what newbieish mistake I am making, and what would be the best way
to go about getting Banshee to work?

Thanks in advance
