In Banshee 0.13.x it was possible to drag custom album art onto the small album art thumbnail near the progress meter. However, in Banshee 1.0, it has not been implemented. So currently the only way to use custom album art is to save it as ~/.cache/album-art/$artist-$album.jpg where $artist is the artist, in lower case and stripped of spaces, and $album is the album, in lower case and stripped of spaces. -- Hyperair
