You shouldn't get an error while importing them...unless maybe if they
are DRM'd WMA files? Can you run banshee from the terminal with
"banshee-1 --debug" and paste here one of the error lines you get when
you import the files?
I have the gstreamer-ffmpeg package installed. I get this error:
