I had the same issue time ago (luckily with few songs) and I solved it
that way: select the songs with the old tags, right-click and go to
Edit tags. Then immediately click Save. If you have a lot of songs,
you will see a good use of hard disk.
I don't remember if I did that with the old version of the tag editor
or the current, but I suppose it should work now. Good luck!
