You on Mandriva? Looks like this bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=548972. If not, how did you install Banshee?

I'm not convinced, but it seems to be a downstream/packaging bug on Mandriva, but maybe there's something else going on too.
