Essentially, Banshee does not recognize the file as an MP3.
I am noting the same problem. I had no issues with Banshee v1.0 and below,
but now with version 1.2.0, many of my audio tracks are not recognized.
Error report shows hundreds of "MPEG audio header not found" messages.
However, using EasyTAG, downgrading my tags from id3v2.4 UTF-8 to id3v2.3
Unicode works. I really do not want to downgrade my entire collection, so I
am hoping this issue will be addressed.
These EasyTAG settings are found under "Settings, Preferences, ID3 Tag
Settings". Browse to your audio files, and perform a "Force Saving Files"
under the File menu, or use Ctrl+Shift+S.
