Fedora 7 includes newer autoconf tools (automake-1.10-5, autoconf-2.61) 
which don't seem to like podsleuth:

Any ideas on what to try?

I got it to compile on FC6 but it didn't seem to work correctly
(hal-0.5.8.1). I didn't try rebooting after installing, only restarting
hal. I can try more when I get home.
