Re: [Banshee-List] Another iPod bug (I think)

If you launch banshee in a terminal with the debug option --debug, what
do you get? Do you get the same error message as me?

Information: [03/14/2007 04:14:19] (Mass Storage Support Ignoring iPod)
- The USB mass storage audio player support ignored an iPod. Either
Banshee's iPod support is broken or missing, or the iPod itself may be
corrupted.

My strong guess is that ipod database has some variants in its format
and it just a BIG mess to follow up. I have tested many ipods in the
past few weeks: some work, others don't.

gnupod is a little bit better to handle more cases, but it doesn't have
the richness of Banshee.

It would be great to have a page on a wiki or a summary in this mailing
list which iPod (version/firmware) is supported, at least to clarify the
situation,

Gregoire
