I'm on Ubuntu Edgy and this is the problem I'm experiencing with
autogen.sh

$ ./autogen.sh
/usr/bin/gnome-autogen.sh
./autogen.sh: 25: pushd: not found
./autogen.sh: 26: ./update-checkout.sh: not found
./autogen.sh: 27: popd: not found

gnome-autogen.sh invokes the portable "/bin/sh" which on Edgy points to
dash. I'm assuming dash does not include pushd and popd builtins, or
does it?
