You might find this page useful:
http://live.gnome.org/MemoryReduction/Tools
and perhaps
http://www.mono-project.com/Performance_Tips
and the note about valgrind and mono at the bottom of this page:
http://www.mono-project.com/Debugging
So it's been a while, but I haven't given up on figuring this out.
I've tried setting up Banshee in valgrind as mentioned here:
http://www.mono-project.com/Debugging#Using_Valgrind_on_Mono, but
here's what happens when I run it:
$ valgrind --tool=memcheck -v --leak-check=full --log-file=banshee-log
--smc-check=all --suppressions=src/mono.supp mono /usr/bin/banshee
cannot open assembly /usr/bin/banshee
I've tried appending .exe to the end, to no avail. Anyone have any
ideas? (And can anyone confirm that valgrind would be helpful? I don't
want to bark up the wrong tree.)
Cheers,
Andrew
