I've recently updated the Ubuntu Breezy install docs with information
on making this much easier through a repository that has been made
available and will make upgrades much easier for you also.

You may want to give them a try with Dapper. If they work okay on
Dapper, do let me know or add a comment to that affect on the Banshee
Wiki.
