Hi,
I am fairly new to Banshee and have a couple of questions I am hoping
someone could answer. By the way, I am using the packaged version from
Ubuntu Dapper Drake (0.10.10).
I use Cowbell to clean up the metadata for some of my mp3 files. These
are usually files that had been imported to Banshee at some point.
However, even after I change the metadata on the files, the changes do
not get reflected in Banshee. I suppose the issue is whether Banshee
uses the metadata in its sqllite db which I guess gets populated on
the initial import or the file itself. At any rate, what I have done
is remove the file from Banshee and reimport it. However, even this
method does not always work. On some files, when re-imported, the
metadata (in the file itself) is reset to the old junk by Banshee. On
the same note, I have tried erasing all the files from my iPod in
hopes of replacing them with the files that have the most up to date
metadata, yet when I resync the whole library, I still get the old
junk data. Does anyone know how to fix this?
My other question is regarding the iPod playlists. I read somewhere
that someone was working on implementing them. What's the status on
that?
Many thanks for any ideas.
Arshavir
