Just bought my wife a Nano, that doesn't want show in Banshee.
First I should say that I have a 20G Ipod that does work fine on this
machine (SUSE 10.1) and it shows up in Banshee.
If I run "ipod" and connect the Nano it responds with:
Listening for iPod-specific HAL events...
** Message: Device Added: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_487A_AA8C
Not a Valid iPod! Try Rebooting the iPod
The Nano does mount, and I can browse it by double clicking on the
desktop icon. I can use gtkpod by giving it the mount point.
So what stops the ipod Nano from being recognised by libipoddevice?
And yes it works fine in Windows.
