Hello.
I just followed the directions on the Banshee Website to install the
Banshee player via the CVS/HEAD method. I wanted the option of using
the podcast feature, as well as using it with my Creative Zen Touch mp3
player.
To my knowledge, everything has been downloaded and setup. When I start
Banshee, it fires up without a hitch and recognizes my mp3 player.
When I click on the the mp3 player from the Banshee menu on the left
side of the screen, my Zen Touch's LED changes state to reflect that it
is "docked" and ready to pass files - just as it does when working in
Gnomad. However, Banshee quickly crashes after that and closes. My
mp3 player then returns to a normal state.
I am using Ubuntu/Dapper on an AMD64 laptop (running the 32-bit
version). Here is the debugging...
Debug: [8/11/2006 6:37:04 AM] (Default player engine) - GStreamer 0.10

Another thing that seems strange to me. When I click on the Music
Library icon from the menu on the left hand side of the Banshee screen,
nothing is displayed on the right side even though Banshee states there
are 40 items in the library. If I click on the Podcast and Radio
icons, there is data displayed.
Thanks in advance for your help.
