[Banshee-List] does banshee cheat with tagging?

sorry for double posting but i find this very surprising. i just now
finished building the latest cvs banshee 0.9.9.40680 and discovered that
what i thought was a temporary testing flaw is still there -
banshee does not edit tags! it only changes the entries in its own db.
i must be wrong about this but dont know how. and this is supposed to be
one of the selling points. anyhow - my earlier question still stands but
now revised:
how WILL banshee edit tags?
