I confirm the issue. This action group API turned out to be rather unstable. Fortunately, fixing this looks 
fairly straightforward (famous last words! :).

Ah, yes...Balsa itself was purged of that API a while ago, but balsa-ab, the address book editor, is yet to 
be worked on.  One issue is whether it should be a GtkApplication or continue to be a GtkWindow--as I recall, 
that affects how GtkAction is replaced in the menus.  Standalone GNOME apps are encouraged to be 
GtkApplications, but is the editor a standalone app?
