If I delete the .config/enchant dirctory, it is recreated when I launch 
balsa.

I've done as you asked. I have the same problem. The reply window opens 
normally with the message quoted but the keyboard/mouse arent 
responsive.

The trace is a bit different (quite nothing);

I don't really undestand what you mean with "sanitized version".

I have always this problem with and only with this message.
