Hmmm...found a tiny one-line bug in the maildir backend--fixed in svn. Please give it a try--it's working for me, so far.

I've just tried the new  2.3.24, but I see the same misbehaviour.

Ok, now I see that the patch works. One only needs to remove all the caches in ~/.balsa to see it working. Thanks!
