Indeed, it does. However, having English spell-checked in Portuguese 
is, if anything, less useful than no spell-check at all :-)

hunspell and hunspell -p en_US both work as expected. setenv DICTIONARY 
en_US and echo en_US > .hunspell_default do not improve balsa'a on the 
problem.
