French language and non UTF-8

Hi,

In the composer, I've choosen the French language.
It works fine but if I insert the Euro symbol (€), balsa told me it cannot use mixed languages and ask me to switch to UTF-8

What is used by balsa when I choose "French" ? ISO-8859-1 ?
(the encoding with the Euro symbol which is the normal one for Freance now is ISO-8859-15 ...)

The locale settings on my system are :
LANG=fr_FR euro
LC_CTYPE="fr_FR euro"
LC_NUMERIC=C
LC_TIME="fr_FR euro"
LC_COLLATE="fr_FR euro"
LC_MONETARY="fr_FR euro"
LC_MESSAGES="fr_FR euro"
LC_PAPER="fr_FR euro"
LC_NAME="fr_FR euro"
LC_ADDRESS="fr_FR euro"
LC_TELEPHONE="fr_FR euro"
LC_MEASUREMENT="fr_FR euro"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="fr_FR euro"
LC_ALL=
