Bug report: Balsa closing unexpectedly after receiving mail

Using Balsa 2.0.14 in RedHat 9. During the last couple of weeks and in
random manner, Balsa started to suddenly close just after finishing
downloading mail from my POP3 service. No warning at all was received
and the mail was actually received. I don't know it there is a
relation, but by the same time this collapses started to appear, I was
busy adding rules to a spam filter I created to deal with the sudden
swarm of worm mails disguised as coming from Microsoft that some other
people here has mentioned before.
As said before, this sudden closings occurred at random and never
happened when I launched Balsa from a command prompt... until today.
Here is the report:

The program 'balsa' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for
operation)'.
  (Details: serial 20102 error_code 2 request_code 55 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error()
function.)
[francisco@localhost francisco]$

I must point out that the "HtmlCss-WARNING" messages at the beginning
were appearing before on several occasions without a collapse from
Balsa. The final part of the message was included with those warnings
when I was finally able to "catch" the bug. If further information is
required just let me know.
