Not much magic here:
I just read the mails I get from the various lists, get the key and look
whether it works.
That way I already had the joy of trying
(from the user-agent or x-mailer header)
Mutt/1.5.4i (1.4i | 1.3.28i) (every version)
Ximian Evolution 1.2.3 (1.3.1) (every version I've seen worked)
Sylpheed version 0.8.11claws (GTK+ 1.2.10;i686-pc-linux-gnu)
Gnus/5.090017 (Oort Gnus v0.17) Emacs/21.3.50 (gnu/linux)
fedmail (can't find this mail right now :-(
If this list grows much, I'll inform you.
But I doubt there will be many more clients, as we don't really have a lot
of gpgsupporting ones.
K-Mail comes to my mind - also Outlook, Eudora and Pegasus with plugins
