Spell check crash

Balsa 1.3.3 will occasionally crash on spell checking.
I get the debug message:

balsa: manager_impl.cc:31: void free_lt_handle (void *): Assertion `s == 
0' failed.

It's hard to reproduce, although I thought I could do it at will
this morning.

Any ideas what is causing it? I get a feeling it's something to
do with long lines but I wouldn't put money on it.
