IMAP error

I'm running courier (bleeding-edge version) as my mail server, and 
balsa 1.3.5 as my mail client. Lately, when I try to access my IMAP 
mail boxes, I get the following message:

	SSL failed: I/O error
	Could not negotiate TLS connection

I've not gotten this message before. Do I need to install an extra 
library to get balsa to see the IMAP folders correctly? Incidentally, 
my POP3 mailboxes work fine.
