A new attempt to speed up scanning IMAP folders has been posted on
Bugzilla: see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61263
This is highly experimental, at this stage not much more than a
demonstration of feasibility. I'd be glad to hear reactions and
comments.
