I am sorry for this. 

I was able to compile balsa myself (but with --disable-more-warnings; I
had to switch them off in order to be able to compile anything with
RH-7.0's crappy gcc) but when I switched the development box back to the
proper one, I realized how many mistakes I had made.

Anyway, you should be able to compile CVS version now.
