Creating folders

For several releases I've had problems with folder creation - sometimes it shows up
and sometimes it doesn't :-(.  All I want to do is to save some messages to a simple
mbox folder *while* balsa is running.  I've never managed to get this to work reliably.
What am I missing?

I can add folders if I create the folder outside of balsa and restart, but that is
a royal PITA.  I tried to have balsa rescan the mailbox list and its directories,
but I didn't fully understand how they are created and managed to really scramble
the mailbox/folder list.  Any suggestions from someone who knows that section of
code?
