ahh,

before i forget it, src/filter-edit-dialog.c has the
src/pictures/enabled.xpm hardcoded into the source,
means does its own pixmaping stuff inside the code.
wouldn't it be better to use the src/balsa-icons.c
for doing this ? you save a couple of lines and the
code gets lighten up.

another recommendation, wouldn't it be better to move
the Edit->Filters menu entry to Settings->Filters ?
