compile failure on Redhat 7.0

Greetings -
When I try and compile balsa 1.0.pre3 I get the following error.
files.c:69:30: pasting would not give a valid preprocessing token
files.c:86:26: pasting would not give a valid preprocessing token
make[2]: *** [files.o] Error 1
Any clues? I've got all redhat errata's installed (using redhat update
tools) and I've got the latest HelixCode going as well.
