word lists for spelling?

I am trying to get spelling to work. I downloaded aspell and got it
installed, but balsa refuses to spell a message saying that 'I'm sorry I
can't find any suitable word lists for the language-tag "en".' Any ideas
where i can get word lists or how to build them?
