address book woes

I am having a great deal of difficulty getting an address book started in
balsa.  I specify a name and a path, but when I try and add an address to
the book, I get a message saying "Cannot open vCard address book..."

I hope there are plans to import plain text addresses or netscape addresses
(since most users will probably be coming form netscape mail).
