[patch] balsa gconf compile and runtime problems

This is a patch aganist balsa-1.0.0 vanilla.
Somehow, the threads seem to be stopping gconf from initializing prperly.
This means gconfd-1 doesn't launch. Attached patch fixed the prblem.
It also fixes a problem when compiling an rpm with gtkhtml support. (CFLAGS
gets overridden by RPM_BUILD_FLAGS - I think).

Patch is tested and works here. Not having this patch, and not having a
gconfd-1 already running (launched by another application) prevents me from
raeding html mails (balsa just locks up).
