Again, I already have a patch for this.  Doesn't quite work right though.
When I switch to the second layout (in the Preferences panel), and I have
a mailbox open, the "Mailboxes" subpanel has it's width changed to the exact
same *height* as the "Thread list" subpanel.  Would anyone be willing to
take a look at my code, and see if it's a problem with my stuff, or gtk+?
Note - The first layout above is used my default, if you don't go into
Prefs and change it, you'll never know the second layout exists.
That should kepp Marcel and others with lots of mailboxes happy.  8-]
