Your mailbox-updating patch

Is anybody else having problems with Ian's new mailbox updating code breaking
the display of unopened mailboxes with unread mail? For me the patch works
properly for mailboxes that are open, but unopened mailboxes with unread mail do
not get shown with the icon or in bold. 

Is anyone else experiencing this behaviour?
